Nu Spirit Bar – Bratislava’s Prime Spot for Soulful Music
If you like jazz, funk and soul, the Nu Spirit Bar is the right place for you. Located just a short walk from the historical center and the Opera, the Nu Spirit is an oasis of good music in increasingly commercial Bratislava nightlife.
The Nu Spirit is no ordinary DJ bar or a nightclub. The bar was established in 2001 with a clear focus on people, who like dancefloors to be a bit more discerning.
DJs and live bands play soulful music six days a week. Styles vary from jazz to hip hop, house or drum’n’bass, but the common denominator remains the same. Music that is played here has to have soul. The list of DJs who have controlled the turntables in our bar includes people who have shaped the nu jazz / dancefloor jazzscene over the past two decades, such as Shuya Okino from Kyoto Jazz Massive or UK legend Paul Murphy.
You don’t have to be an owl to experience the positive vibe of the Nu Spirit. We are open from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. You can start your day here with a cup of coffee and free wi-fi Internet, and follow with a cocktail or two before the night kicks in.

Nemecký DJ Tom Wieland, známy z projektov Les Gammas, 7 Samurai a Panoptikum, zasa rozbehne svoju novú párty Disco 3000. Na jej prvom vydaní sa ako hosť predstaví mníchovský znalec funku a zberateľ raritných vinylov Florian Keller.

Najstarší slovenský drum’n‘bassový kolektív oslavuje už svoje 14. výročie. Hrať sa bude na dvoch stagoch, a ten tanečný bude patriť najmä dvom dôležitým zahraničným hosťom. Z Anglicka príde vokalistka Jenna G, ktorá na scéne pôsobí už viac ako 10 rokov. Jej hlas ste mohli počuť na nahrávkach projektu Un-Cut, ale aj na mnohých broken-beatových a housových trackoch, ktoré nesú pečať západného Londýna. O poriadnu tancovačkú sa postará DJ a producent Axiom zo Švajčiarska, ktorého skladby nájdete na tých najprestížnejších labeloch ako sú Renegade Hardware. Asistovať im bude celá slovenská špička.
