[re:jazz] Live in Nu Spirit Club
Nu Spirit Club will please fans of jazz and electronic music alike with a special live show scheduled for the fourth Monday in March. [re:jazz] will return to Bratislava on March 22 to prove that these two musical worlds, so different at a first sight, can merge into a symbiosis.
The German band has been in the spot-light for over eight years, successfully re-making electronic anthems into a very personal jazz form. The Nu Spirit gig is part of a promo tour presenting its last album Electrified, which delivers one brand-new track and re-mixes of the past tunes.
The six musicians assisted by charming vocalist Inga Lühning have sold over 60,000 albums since their debut in 2002 and their tracks can be also found on more than 80 compilations assembled by some of the most striking names of current dance and jazz scene.
These days, jazz is broadly seen as a something complicated that pleasures only intellectuals, but we have to keep in mind that it originally emerged as music for dancing. In the world of [re:jazz], jazzy virtuosity and iconic beats of the electronic scene blend effortlessly. In this respect, Electrified, [re:jazz]’s second album of remixes, represents some kind of reverse engineering. On this album, you’ll find re-electrified jazz versions of originally electronic tunes. The list of remixers reads like a who-is-who on the soulful dance music scene with names Iincluding Nicola Conte, Swell Session, Akufen or Jazztronik.
Tickets for this unique can be bought at a special discounted pre-sale price at Dr.Horak, in book store Artforum and in all Ticketportál booths.
