DJ Skank
Skank first got in touch with electronic music in 1994 through listening to austrian radio stations and regular visits of U.Club in Bratislava.
The beginning of Crystal House with Tibor Holoda and Dalo in Radio Ragtime has also had a major influence on him.
In 1997 he accepted an offer to work in a famous, nowadays maybe even legendary, Mekka Records recordshop (today’s Records – www.e-records.sk). He became a member of DMC club and started to spin records one year later. Firstly it was techno (U.Club) later he got more into house rhythms and became a resident of Hauz parties.
In 2000 he started in Subtech agency which ran U.Club at that time and Skank became its‘ basic and implicit part. He also joined Bajkonur booking at this time and still continued to sell records in Mekka as well as in Fabrikka Disc shop in UW Café.
Skank performed in Slovakia (U.Club, SubClub, Spojka, Metro, Stanica, Wave, KlubLuc, W:lson:c, Pohoda Festival, Hodokvas, Boomerang.. ) in the Czech republic (Roxy and Matrix in Prague, Perpetuum, OrionHall and Loop Festival in Brno), in UK (Platinum/London), in Austria (Rhiz, Massive and Roxy in Vienna) and also in Hungary and Poland (klub55/nrd/rdza).
He started a dj combo MilkShake together with dj Milosh. Together with Erik Babusiak they opened SubClub (ex U.Club) in 2005 where Skank works as a responsible and programme manager. Now working skank @ Notape (record and equipment store)
The beginning of radio show Leporelo_FM should mark Sept. 2007 for Skank and Milosh. It will be on air of Radio_FM.
